I'm well on my way to finishing this book . It's pretty protestant and not too overwhelming for me as a catholic . What I like about it is it puts the protagonist in the midst of his beliefs and does not allow him to control his platitudes by limiting their scope to just intellectual entertainment .
Acedia & Me - A Marriage, Monks and A Writer's Life
This book I started after the pilgrimage in 2009 when we prayed about the sin of acedia. I finished it this fall and found it to be a very therapeutic read . I agree that action combats acedia, although acedia is relentless and grasping at one constantly.
