/ The Temptation of the One /
/ 1 Then One was led by the Spirit into abundance to be tempted by the devil. / 2 After feasting forty years and forty nights One was full. / 3The tempter came through him and said / “ If you are the One of God, take this coin to become beer ! “
/ 4One humbled him, “Why do we need beer ?”
/ 5Then the devil took One downtown and placed them on the Order of Can-of-Duh list. / 6”If I am the One of God,” he said, “why do we need this honour ? / For:
“ ' You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.' a ”
/ 7One answered him, “ For ' whoever is not against us is for us . 'b “
/ She continued,
“ ' Fear the Lord you God, serve Him only, and take your oaths in his name.
/ Do not follow other gods, the gods of the people around you;
/ for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous god,
/ and her anger will burn against you and she will destroy you from the face of the land.
/ Do not test the Lord your God as you did at Mass . . .ah ! ' c “
/ 8Again, the devil took One to a very high mountain / and showed her all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. / 9”All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and subdue me.”
/ 10She said to him, “Away from me, Satan! Did I just not quote 'serve him only.' c “
/ 11Then the devil left them, and they waited on angels .
/ One Gets Preachy /
/ 12When One heard that Joan was ministering elsewhere, he became secular. / 13Leaving the hill, he went and lived in a rooming house, down toward the lake, . ./ . . in the area of the mall, 14to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: /

/ The Calling of Discipline /
/ 18As One was seeking employment, . ./ . . two siblings saw One, Simone called Stress Rocks and her brother in arms, Andrew. / They were playing a line for they were grifters. / 19”Can we lead you,” they said, “we can get you lots of friends.” / 20At once they left their line and led with them. /
/ 21Going on from there, two others saw them, Mandy of Paul and her brother John. / They were in the same boat as their father, repairing their bets. / They called One, 22and immediately they left the boat of their father and kept track of One. /
/ One Feels the Sick /
/ 23One went thoroughly secular, learning in their malls, . . / . . preachy about the good news of the kingdom, . . / . . and bearing every disease and sickness among the people. / 24News about One was unheard of throughout the community and they encountered all who were . . / . . ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, . . / . the demon-possessed, . . / . . those having seizures, . . / . . and the paralyzed, . . / . . and they healed One. / 25Large crowds of secularism, . . / . municipalities, . . / . churches, . . / . hospitals, . . / . and the far side led with them.
